you can try drop a bigger puddle of wax on top of it then try to peel it off nicely.
or you can just try heat up that piece of wax on the floor with a lighter and try peel it off.
or some kind of clorox.
use alcohol ! if that doesn't bring it up put a damp towel over it and use an iron, that should melt it enough to come up. then use the alcohol again to remove the rest...

Does waxing really make arm hair grow back finer...?
Is this just a myth or does it really work? I am thinking about waxing my arms because I don't think applying chemicals onto my skin frequently to bleach my arms is a good idea.

Removing the hair encourages a blood supply to the skin which will initially 'feed' the hair more and make it grow back thicker and darker. However over time, as you are removing the hair from the root, it does go back finer. I suggest that if you really need to remove the hair anyway, just do it.

So less hair grows back over time which can appear to look like its thinner, it's just not as much. Women; shaving/waxing your pubic hair..?
Well... My mother says to never shave down there, so I can't ask her anything about it. I'm an only child so I don't have anyone else to ask. I've never had a bikini wax, so I don't know what to expect, and that makes me too nervous to do that. When I shave its not smooth at all. To me it seems like men are half and half when it comes to shaved or unshaved, so I don't know whether or not I should. I guess I need some womanly advice here about getting waxed, or suggestions on shaving.Women; shaving/waxing your pubic hair..?
It depends on your personal taste. I prefer bare--as I think most younger women do these days. I would not worry that much what the guys think--though I think most of them also prefer bare.

It should be less as there is nothing for the bacteria to live on.. A good tip is mix a drop of tea tree oil to your plain moisturiser and rub in. It stings a bit but completely kills bacteria. It should be less as there is nothing for the bacteria to live on.. A good tip is mix a drop of tea tree oil to your plain moisturiser and rub in. It stings a bit but completely kills bacteria. I don't know if you mean for a guy or girl but it is all wax. I only use the more traditional waxes with the exception of krew comb, which is sort of an emulsified wax, at least the form in the jar. It also comes in a stick form. Krew comb washes out readily and I think all sally beauty supplies carry it. For the traditional control/butch waxes, the only two still made that come in a stick form I am aware of are lucky tiger cru butch and stix fix design polish. Stix fix is about the stiffest wax made; it has a very high beeswax component. Gabel's crew cut is another traditional wax. I believe this is the current rendition of the old LB butch wax; but, I don't think a stick form is currently being manufactured. Gabel's has high lanolin content. The traditional waxes are available at certain barber supply houses, on line and brick and mortar. They are all fairly low cost. If a wax buildup develops or too much is applied, it won't shampoo out readily. So...
1) Apply straight shampoo to dry hair and lather up before getting in shower.
2) Rinse hair.
3) Shampoo again as one normally does.
If the wax is for a husband, boyfriend, son, brother's short haircut.....
Here is how a control wax is applied to groom one of the short pomp styles- crew cut, ivy league(Iong crew cut), flat top crew cut- whichever short pomp style, it's basically the same and takes about a minute or two.

Okay, so I'm thinking about trying waxing strips to remove my upper lip hair. I have never tried any means of removing it, so I am a bit apprehensive...
Also, it is really embarrassing and kind of noticeable.
My only concerns are:
- will the hair grow back thicker and darker, and look worse, or will it grow back thinner and lighter (I have heard both)...?

I wax my upper lip, and it actually grows back really nicely. It's not those stubbly hairs you get after shaving your legs, but soft, thin new hair growth.
How often all depends on how fast your hair grows and how you feel about it. LIke, if there is a little hair and you are not bothered, then less frequently, but if you want that baby to be hair free all the time, then probably more frequently.
My only warning is that the waxing can irritate the skin and make it really red and tender for a little bit. Maybe go to your local nail salon and have then do it the first time, to see how you feel about it. I wax my upper lip, and it actually grows back really nicely. It's not those stubbly hairs you get after shaving your legs, but soft, thin new hair growth.
How often all depends on how fast your hair grows and how you feel about it. LIke, if there is a little hair and you are not bothered, then less frequently, but if you want that baby to be hair free all the time, then probably more frequently.
My only warning is that the waxing can irritate the skin and make it really red and tender for a little bit. Maybe go to your local nail salon and have then do it the first time, to see how you feel about it. There was a lot of pain and little hair that actually was removed. make sure the hair is long enough to get stuck (about 3/4 of an inch, I think), short hairs and wax equal nothing but pain. Research to try and find the best product. If you have sensitive skin, find one with no dyes and scents. Also, do a test run before the area is going to be exposed (like going to a pool or beach wearing a bathing suit). You never know how your skin will react. Good luck and I hope it goes better for you than it did for me!

First off i aint gay or anything, but i am starting to have some hair on my shoulders and back, its not much and not long but i am sure its a matter of time.
Now sooner or later i am going to get rid of it and i would shave it but i hate when the hair starts to grow it gets all ichy and irritating. So i am thinking that i will wax it.

As far as your body hair goes, the best thing to do is just get over it. It's not mentally healthy to keep fighting your body reality. If you are hairy, be PROUDLY HAIRY. Tinkering with superficial stuff like hair all the time leads to poor self esteem. You are who you are -- rejoice in the body you have.
Anyway, who wants to look like some pathetic hairless Ken doll? Body hair is a sign that you have normal levels of male hormones. Be glad you have it!

If you want permanent hair removal, laser treatment is the answer as long as you are light skinned and your hair is dark. It's expensive - but maybe not if you otherwise have to go for waxings every month or two. I understand for most people it's completely effective and truly permanent.

Now sooner or later i am going to get rid of it and i would shave it but i hate when the hair starts to grow it gets all ichy and irritating. So i am thinking that i will wax it.

guys wax their body hair for lots of reasons. Champion bike racers like Lance Armstrong wax their body hair to cut down on wind resistance. Nothing gay about that. Nowadays, we have lots of choices in life. If it makes you feel better, try it. It's not something irreversible.
The only thing that makes you gay is being sexually attracted to other guys. Nothing else.
As far as your body hair goes, the best thing to do is just get over it. It's not mentally healthy to keep fighting your body reality. If you are hairy, be PROUDLY HAIRY. Tinkering with superficial stuff like hair all the time leads to poor self esteem. You are who you are -- rejoice in the body you have.
Anyway, who wants to look like some pathetic hairless Ken doll? Body hair is a sign that you have normal levels of male hormones. Be glad you have it!
i woulld only do it if you have a lot of if you ever get a lot... otherwise i wouldnt worry about it cuz once you wax it each time it will grow back thicker so be careful!!! good luck deciding...

2 questions for cosmeticians about hair styling products: wax/mud and root body spray?
Is there any difference between hair styling wax and hair molding mud for building body, definition %26amp; hold? If so, what is it? Is one not as effective as the other or are they for 2 different purposes? Also before my stylist blow dries my hair, she spritzes the roots with some sort of root spay that is supposed to add body. I was going to purchase some but someone told me that using plain old hair spray on damp hair has the same effect, is this true? never use creams or razors, waxing is waaay better, though it might hurt. apparantly the hair doesn't grow thicker, but every women will tell you different. from experience, i think shaving makes hair darker, thicker and coarser whilst waxing doesn't. personally i would advise that you wax rather than shave. try it for your self and see.Does shaving or using creams make the hair grow thicker and coarser then waxing each time?

But really, the bad part of waxing is the ingrown hairs. The pain can be satisfying if you're in a bad mood, and hating your leg hair. Think of it as a battle.

when applying, apply in direction that the hair grows, and pull strip off in opposite direction. do not let it ';soak'; in, and u can apply pressure to area after hair removal...this helps the pain ease faster!
the pain is not as bad as twee-zing to me, and new growth is not as course. also, don't have to wax as often as when u tweez either. the level of pain can depend on what area u wax.
Waxing when done properly smarts for a bit. A topical numbing cream will take the edge off. The benefits far outweigh the pain though.

hold the skin taut before you rip, stretch your skin so that it is tight
rip the wax strips off in the opposite direction of the way the hair is growing

Why r my hair not growing after waxing?
i lost bet and had to get my legs waxed , but now 20 days has passed and still their is not any trace of hair

I get waxed cos I want to be smooth and I get averagely hairy again in about 3 weeks and then back to original gorilla state in about 5 weeks. You want to be hairy again quickly and after 3 weeks, nothing!

You will just have to make a decision to either leave the hair alone and wear pants to your friends birthday tomorrow, or shave now and just get your legs waxed at another time after your birthday...it's one of those life-altering choices us girls have to make...lol...you can't hide it while wearing a tiny skirt...Sorry! I'm assuming that you are growing your hair because you know how long it takes it to get to the appropriate length for a wax. If that is the case then shaving now can be ruled out.
There are lots of ways to make the hair on your legs appear less noticeable. I know because I am lazy. Having well lotioned legs helps. Spraying on some fake tanning stuff will make it harder to see the hairs. Bleaching the hairs would be a drastic option. Of course you could also go with a longer dress, high boots, pantyhose, or pants... but I'm betting you don't want to do that. I think the best solution for this situation is to just say to everybody ';Oh man, my legs are so hairy, haha! I'm letting the hair grow so I can get them waxed next week.'; If they are your friends it shouldn't matter. I personally would rather say it and put it out there than wonder if people are whispering behind my back.
Or you could tell them you're a hippie now and don't shave.

Plus you can wax up to 0.2 mm of hair.

You could put a cloth over that hair strands and iron it. It will melt into the cloth. It will still leave a small residue but it should wash out next shampoo. Sounds like you're lucky the *** did not get it in your eye.

2. set your clothes iron on the coolest setting, use a towel, fold your waxed hair in the towel and place the iron on the towel.

You could try using a curling iron, but that might cause additional damage to your hair.
Just try to wash it off.
