LADIES: Waxing upper lip hair question?

Okay, so I'm thinking about trying waxing strips to remove my upper lip hair. I have never tried any means of removing it, so I am a bit apprehensive...

Also, it is really embarrassing and kind of noticeable.

My only concerns are:

- will the hair grow back thicker and darker, and look worse, or will it grow back thinner and lighter (I have heard both)...?

- how often will I have to wax, and will I have to wax less often with continued use?LADIES: Waxing upper lip hair question?
I wax my upper lip, and it actually grows back really nicely. It's not those stubbly hairs you get after shaving your legs, but soft, thin new hair growth.

How often all depends on how fast your hair grows and how you feel about it. LIke, if there is a little hair and you are not bothered, then less frequently, but if you want that baby to be hair free all the time, then probably more frequently.

My only warning is that the waxing can irritate the skin and make it really red and tender for a little bit. Maybe go to your local nail salon and have then do it the first time, to see how you feel about it. It's sort of hard to wax yourself if you've never done it before.LADIES: Waxing upper lip hair question?
the hair doesnt grow out thicker or darker or look worse...not any of that. after continued use i heard it does subside a little bit but i've been doing it for a couple years now adn i havent noticed that but it maybe it takes more time. i like waxing becuase its quick and easy and its not that painful. just be careful and make sure its not too hot becuase that can peel yoru skin and it wil hurt a lot. also whatever you do donttttt shave! thats a bad idea. yoru hair wil come out extremely thick and very frequently.
OK TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE WHO KNOWS!!!!

Waxing is the BEST thing you can do for it! NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER shave it -- if you do you the hair will grow back thicker and darker and look worse.

Waxing takes the whole hair out with the root so hair will actually grow back thinner.

You wax again when you see the hair again so probably every 4 weeks but everyone is different!

Good luck!

Oh buy the Sally Hansen strips that are designed for bikini area, eyebrows and upper lips... they work GREAT! And they cost $5.99 and will last a long time!
it will grow back to where you have to keep waxing it for the rest of your life. my mother waxed hers and she regrets it. you will have to wax about every month or so. If you do chose to you will feel very little pain. it is quick and easy. not noticable at all just for the first day because the peach fuz will be gone also, it will also be slightly red.

good lick waxing hope this helped.
i have the same problem, i have a hairy upper lip, i do wax, i feel it's better personally. when mine grows back it does not grow back darker or thicker, just the same.

some of my friend have theirs bleached, this way it is less noticable however, it does still show a bit.
don't wax

it's not good for long term..

it stretched the skin

making premature wrinkles more likely

waxing in areas on the face where skin is

tough it okay though..

try threading.:)

hair will grow back normal..

only thicker if you are too young because your hormones haven't settled properly
the only reason hair grows back thicker is because a fresh follicle is sprouting. i would recommend bleaching it because waxing your upper lip will also make the skin around it dangly and old looking lol
Dont wax it it will grow back darker and longer. Your best bet is to lighten it
