Does waxing thin out hair?

some people say that waxing thins out hair. But could it be the same concept of why shaving doesn't make hair thicker? when shaving, the hair follicle is cut off so it seems thicker at the stem. When waxed hair grows back, it grows back with a thin tip because it fully grows back and appears thinner before it fully grows. Has anyone actually completely grown out their hair after waxing and have proof? I am still pending on whether to wax because i do not want to make my hair thicker and never be able to go back.Does waxing thin out hair?
yes i do think it works in makin the hair thinner. i waxed like every two weeks or so for 6 months. n let my hair grow n i c dat the hair is much thinner or evn a lil less. n yeah shaving is bad.. :)Does waxing thin out hair?
I have been in the skin care business for 17 years and have seen waxing consistently thin out and diminish hair growth in clients and in myself.
The more often you wax the less hair that grows back and the slower it grows back. As you said, with shaving your just cutting it off so it keeps growing - but with waxing as you keep pulling it out at the roots it takes longer to grow back and does grow back thinner and after a few times of waxing you can have longer gaps between waxing sessions - only thing is, it can be a little painful to start with but ya get used to it.
actually it is all a myth. if you shave or wax or whatever it is you do, doesnt make your hair grow back any thicker...

Here is the link.. also gives other myths

Ever seen a hairy candle?
waxing makes hair thinner
Waxing will thin out hair. I had a uni-brow and I wax it so many times that I do not have to wax any more. It does take some time for the hair to thin out. I've been waxing between my brows for years.

When shaving the hair will grow back courser.

I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.

Hope this helps.
