Shaving, hair removal or waxing?

OKay so theres advantages and disadvantages for them all i think - but i was told that if you wax the hair will eventually stop growing and will be finer each time, but i was also told it would grow back darker and more prickly.

i cant really use hair removal cream b/c i have sensitive skin and it stings and my legs go red and sore but i havnt actually had my legs waxed before only had my eyebrows done.

i fancy waxing as they say the hair takes longer to grow back b/c im fed up of shaving so often compared to apparently being hair free for up to 4 weeks if thats true or does it depend on the person?

so which is a better method?

and what are the advantages and disadvantages?Shaving, hair removal or waxing?
Waxing is THE BEST thing to do. I don't wax my armpits though coz i'm too scared lol but it is the best method to use. It doesn't hurt me when I wax my legs aswell, and the good thing is that even though it hurts, it hurts for like half a second so you don't have enough time to say ';ouch'; if you know what I mean, and eventually you go numb so it doesn't really hurt anymore. And it really does grow back later than if you shave with a razor.

I have sensitive skin too and I can't use them creams either, but even razors give me rashes, so I hate using those, plus hairs come out prickly and after a couple of days my hairs grow out.

Another good thing to use is an epilator, but these do tend to hurt. Try to get the ones which are supposed to soften the pain, BUT they will still hurt even if a little bit, but eventually your skin will get used to them. And it does last long because your hairs will grow out much later.

What you should do to compare is shave 1 leg with a razor or something and then wax the other or use an epilator on the other, and you will see that within a few days the one you shaved with a razor will have already grown but the other would still be smooth.

In some cases it does depend on the person how quickly the hair grows back, BUT generally certain methods ensure that it would come out later BECAUSE methods such as waxing and epilating remove the hair by pulling them out from the root, while razors just cut hairs, so hairs grow out much quicker.

So for long lasting effects waxing and epilating.

But I would recommend waxing because despite the pain, a lot of your hairs are removed at once, so you would get it done a lot quicker with wax than with an epilator.

There's also permanent laser hair removal, but it's very expensive and you might need to go more than once to get it done. So if you have the money, that's probably the best method.Shaving, hair removal or waxing?
Defiantely waxing its very effective, ok its abit painfull but I buy my wax strips from Bodycare for 99p 20 strips just like Veet (which is more expensive at 拢4.99) atleast u only have to do it once every 3/4weeks. Shaving lasts 4 bout 3days (if that 4sum people)don't 4 get bout the stubbles and the cuts and the hair removal cream don't work thy'r jst messy, they smell of sumthin like ammonia, thy take alot of time and in the end thyr not that effective. Although if u want to be extreme u could always get permanant laser hair removal tht can be done in a few hair salons. xXx
I think it depends on the person and if you have sensitive skin I would say its the worst option for you.
epilator is similiar to waxing in a way it pulls out the hair all the way from root thus regrowth takes longer and is finer

epilator really works for me.. no more ugly bumps!
you should use hair removal cream for sensitive skin,i have sensitive skin and it works wonders and dosnt grow back fast or thicker so i would advise that but i would never advise waxing because it gave me a red spotty rash because i have sensitive skin =o.
i prefer waxing and have been waxing for 1 year. when u wax, the hair doesn't grow bac for about 4 weeks (but that's after a year). your first time it will take about 14 days to grow bac. the hair will also get finer. if you shave, the hair growth will double and it will become VERY thick.

the only disadvantage of waxing is that it slightly hurts. SLIGHTLY! most people are very afraid and therefore never get it done, but it does not hurt at all, specially if you get it done professionaly.
If you can have your eyebrows waxed (ouch!) then I'm sure having your legs done won't be a problem. I prefer waxing, and over time the hairs on my legs have become finer and barely noticeable. I'd definitely recommend it.
I'd say waxing as you get a much better result and it lasts longer.

I'm coming to the end of my laser hair removal treatment and in spite of the pain, i'm so pleased with the results - think a cross between a static shock and someone pinging a lacky band against your skin - it's less painful each time but still bloody hurts!

I'm one of those girls who was 'blessed' with rapid hair growth so i'm in this constant battle with my body to retain so much as an ounce of femininity - for me personally, waxing my legs meant i had regrowth within 4-5 days, but on my arms it was more like after 2-3 weeks. Having had the laser, i may need to shave the odd patch where it's been less effective, but the regrowth takes several weeks, rather than hours to appear!
i have just tried avon hair removal as i have sensitive skin and it was great
If you have sensitive skin, waxing may not be the thing for you. I've gone the waxing route but I always break out for a few days after. The waxing usually lasts for about two weeks and then yes, my experience is that the hair grows in darker and more prickly. Nair now has a senstive skin that works for about a week + and it does not cause me to break out.
Waxing is the best. You'll never get a close shave with a razor, and leg stubble is horrible. Removal creams don't work, they just reek.

Waxing doesn't hurt after you've done it a few times ;)
